“made a time machine out of a delorean!”

So yeah today is that day, finally. It’s got me thinking what car could you imagine being used in a hopefully never existent remake of BTTF that actually sounded like genuine excitement. I feel like there isn;t really a car that makes that line sound like “OMG you did what?” and not because of the time machine. Back then the delorean was cool, too cool. So it made sense. But I mean If you made a time machine out of a Tesla it wouldn’t seem that shocking, because honestly how has Tesla not put time machine in them yet? honestly musk get your shit together.

So yeah what would the modern version of the delorean be?

I feel if they ever did a reboot(Hopefully they never do) the should use the delorean again. Essentially the delorean gets found in a barn somewhere after it was meant to be destroyed and that’s sort of how it would come about. or even better the train from the 18th century would make a comeback. I don’t think you could ever do a full remake but you might be able to pull off another sequel.

Marty was a high school kid that had taste in cars but wasn’t really a “car guy” per-se and so pretty much anything kinda internet cool would do the trick:

Hurican

Ferrari California

GT-R

911

Etc.

But if the stainless steel matters for flux dispersal (or something like that) than you would probably buy one of the new DMC’s being made with the old stock.

Not really anymore new ford fusion. It may seem completely different from the delorean, but it shares the big trait of looking fast while being slow. Delorean looked like a supercar but performed like an economy car, and the fusion looks like a 4 door Aston Martin, but is actually just a mid sized sedan. It’s perfect.
